On WCCS, 3-1 Homer Center takes on 2-2 Marion Center. Wildcats coach Greg Page knows Marion Center will be ready to rebound from two straight losses.
Page says the Stingers’ Ty Ryen is a talented, experienced quarterback who will challenge his defense.
Marion Center coach Adam Rising says his team knows they’re in for a battle.
On WQMU tonight, Purchase Line looks to keep the momentum going after beating Marion Center last week to up their record to 3-1. The Red Dragons will host next door neighbor Penns Manor, which is 1-3 and coming off a loss to River Valley.
Purchase Line coach Matt Falisec says the Comets will come in ready to play a rivalry game.
Penns Manor’s Bill Packer says Purchase Line is another big, tough football team.
On Cat Country, 106.3 FM tonight, 3-0 River Valley goes on the road and out of conference for a matchup with the WestPAC’s Conemaugh Township, which is 1-2. Both teams have had to miss a game this season due to covid-19 issues with other schools.
Panthers coach Jess Houser says the Indians can toss the ball around.
The Indiana Total Therapy pregame shows on our Renda stations all air at 6;30, with the exception of Homer Center, which starts at 6:20.
The other Heritage Conference games feature a good matchup at Cambria Heights, where the 4-0 Highlanders tackle 2-2 West Shamokin; and two teams looking for their first win against four losses, as United visits Northern Cambria.
On WDAD tonight, Indiana goes on the road to Section rival Greensburg Salem. Both teams are 3-1 and riding three-game winning streaks.
Indiana coach Brandon Overdorff says Golden Lions quarterback Hayden Teska, who averages 227.3 yards passing per game, leads a balanced attack and the Indians will have to be ready to go.
Tonight’s Derry game at Freeport has been canceled due to covid quarantine, and the WPIAL says it will be a no-contest game rather than a forfeit because, according to the rules it has established, the program is unable to field a team. Freeport’s game last week against Apollo Ridge was ruled a forfeit in Freeport’s favor because Apollo Ridge had players to play, but chose not to due to safety precautions. Freeport has not played a game since September 10th.
