On Wednesday afternoon, the White Township Supervisors approved using some of the township’s American Rescue Plan funding to help out with some on-going storm water projects.
The projects in question are for phase 3 of the Chevy Chase Storm Water project and for a second project in the area of Overlook drive. Assistant Township Manager Chris Anderson said that $75,527 worth of pipe will be purchased for the Chevy Chase project, while another $10,234 will be purchased for the Overlook Drive project.
The township also received an update on the comment period for the proposed deer management plan. Manager Milt Lady said that they’ve received 13 pages of comments so far, and they are eager to get more. Lady also said that he is working on putting together a public meeting on the plan as well.
Comments will continue to be accepted until September 17th.
The township has also received 12 applications for the new wood lot management subcommittee of the recreation committee. Applications are due by September 22nd for consideration by the supervisors, and appointments to the subcommittee will be made in October.
