The issue of the mask mandate came to the forefront at the Marion Center School District complex this morning as some parents and children rallied against the mandate.
The rally was held at the complex near the entrance to the high school. Over 20 people lined up in the grass near the entrance with signs protesting the mandate that came down from the PA Department of Health saying that students, faculty, staff and visitors at K-12 schools in the state would be forced to wear masks starting today.
This came after a special informational school board meeting on Friday where many members voiced their displeasure with the school board and administration for going with the mask mandate, but Superintendent Clint Weimer said they were forced to do this as it is a mandate from the state.
