Non-life threatening injuries were reported on Sunday after a U-Haul truck collided with a tractor trailer on Route 22 in Burrell Township.
Indiana County 911 reported the crash at 9:45 AM at the intersection of Route 22 and Corporate Campus Road. Initially, State Police, Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments and Citizens’ Ambulance service were dispatched at that time. Coral-Graceton, Indiana and Homer City fire departments would be dispatched over the next 15 minutes, and Clyde fire department was brought in for Traffic Control detail a few minutes after that. Josh Wissinger, assistant Black Lick fire chief, described how the crash happened.
The U-haul took on most of the damage. Workers had to free the woman from the wreckage. She suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
