State police are going to be out in full force for the Labor Day weekend.
Even though the Coronavirus pandemic is continuing across the nation, many are going to travel out for the unofficial end of summer celebrations. State Police Public Information Officer Trooper Cliff Greenfield talked about the statistics from last year, saying that there were four reportable crashes in Indiana County, with two of them involving drugs or drunken driving, and one reported injury. There were no reported deaths on Indiana County Roads last year.
While police are out in full force, Greenfield said the public should call the authorities if they see someone driving in an unsafe manner.
Along with intoxicated drivers, police will be looking out for speeders, aggressive drivers and distracted drivers. The public is reminded to buckle up, drive safely and drive sober.
