Indiana’s boys golfers lost a heartbreaker to Hempfield yesterday, dropping a section match by just two stroke, 208-210. The match came down to the final pairing, with the Spartans’ Nick Eberhardt carding a 40 to earn medalist honors. Indiana had three players shoot 41: Trevor Todd, Alex Holuta, and Harrison Martineau. Philip Bell shot a 42 and Gabe Nettleton a 45 for Indiana. The match at the Greensburg County Club was rescheduled after a Tuesday postponement for rain.
Indiana’s girls golfers fell to Penn Trafford by 27 strokes, but the Indians’ 218 total was 55 strokes better than Gateway. Indiana’s Addie Raykes shot a 53, Hope Cook a 55, Emily Teacher a 60, and Jenny Todd a 62.
