A Homer City man was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop last week in White Township. State police say they conducted a traffic stop at 9:32 PM on August 24th near the intersection of Route 110 and Muller Road for a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway, blocking traffic. 42-year-old Felix Garcia-Santiago was arrested at that time after police discovered a small amount of marijuana in the car.
Another incident of identity theft and unemployment compensation fraud has been reported in Indiana County. State police say they were notified on August 30th that someone acquired the identity information of a 55-year-old Indiana woman to open a fraudulent unemployment claim.
