An Indiana man pleaded guilty and was sentenced yesterday in connection with an incident earlier this year when he was pulled over by police in East Wheatfield Township.
30-year-old Neal Cramer was pulled over early in the morning of January 8th in the area of Route 56 and Edgewood Drive for speeding and erratic driving. Police said he was in an intoxicated state due to narcotics in his system. Police also found in the car 60 full stamp bags of suspected heroin, along with 11 empty stamp bags and other drug paraphernalia.
Cramer was ordered to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, but after being given credit for time served, he was paroled forthwith. He will also serve a year of probation and pay fines.
Also sentenced yesterday was 55-year-old Jamie Nibert, who pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault in connection with an incident in late November of last year where she was driving recklessly in the parking lot of the Sheetz on 4th and Philadelphia Streets, and rammed a police car, another vehicle and tried to hit some people with her car. She pleaded to a misdemeanor simple assault charge and was ordered to serve one year of probation and pay fines and court costs.
