Minor injuries were reported in a crash on West Pike Road this morning, however none of the vehicles involved were school buses.
Indiana County 911 reported the crash at 7:14 this morning as they dispatched the Indiana Fire Association, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance Service to the scene. The crash was in an eastbound lane of West Pike on a hillside between the Pacific Pride gas station and the Arin Intermediate Unit. Fire officials said the cause of the crash was drivers being temporarily blinded by the sunrise as they crested the hill.
The road was reduced to one-lane as crews cleared the scene, which took about 45 minutes to complete. No word yet on who or how many people were injured.
