The IUP Crimson Hawks had to fend off the elements at George P. Miller Stadium on Wednesday, however that would be the least of their concerns as they lost another part of their coaching staff.

The Crimson Hawks were ranked No. 17 on the AFCA Preseason Poll, IUP Athletics announced yesterday. 2019 Division II champion West Florida tops the list and PSAC champion Slippery Rock ranks fifth.
Among other PSAC teams that earned Top 25 honors, Shepherd comes in ranked No. 15, Kutztown is No. 20. West Chester and California (Pa.) earned votes but just missed out on the ranking.
