The Steelers will practice this morning as they prepare to travel to Philadelphia for tomorrow night’s preseason game against the Eagles.
Mason Rudolph will start at quarterback for the Steelers, and coach Mike Tomlin said yesterday that the lineup will look very similar to last week’s game against Dallas. Tomlin outlines what he expects to see from his team.
Tomlin says you may see some guys make their preseason debut, but that will be determined after today’s workout.
Tomlin said he is unconcerned that TJ Watt is not working with his teammates during his contract negotiations. The coach said Watt is “highly conditioned” and “getting in good work days”. It’s common for high-profile players to avoid the risk of injury during sensitive contract talks, and the team has only recently acknowledged that that is what is keeping Watt away for now.
Tomorrow’s game will be on WDAD, FM 100.3 and AM 1450, with the pregame at 5:30.
