At a ceremony in Greensburg yesterday, the 13 fallen members of the Army Reserve 14th Quartermaster Detachment were memorialized as part of the Fallen Heroes Run, a motorcycle ride conducted by Operation Vet NOW.
The victims died February 25th, 1991 in Saudi Arabia in a missile attack on their barracks during Operation Desert Storm. Two of the fallen were from Indiana County: Beverly Clark of East Wheatfield Township and Christine Mayes of Rochester Mills.
Operation Vet NOW is based in Monroeville and benefits veterans dealing with combat-related stress or mental health issues.
