Both Arnold Palmer Regional and Pittsburgh International Airports continued to see cancellations and delays from Spirit Airlines on Wednesday.
Aviation tracking website FlightAware reported that 60 percent of Spirit’s flights across the nation were cancelled once again, while seven percent of flights were delayed. Those totals include four arrivals and three departures from Arnold Palmer Regional Airport and 11 of 13 flights from Pittsburgh International.
A spokesman for the company reiterated that the cancellations are proactive in nature, as a result of weather, system outages and staffing shortages. The cancellations and delays started over the weekend, and there’s no word yet on when these cancellations will end.
Spirit is asking customers to check their flight status before heading out to the airport.
