Newly-signed Penguins free agent winger Brock McGinn had his introductory media session yesterday, and said he had offers from other teams, but wanted to play in Pittsburgh.
McGinn said he wanted to be a Penguin because he knows they always are in contention for the Stanley Cup.
McGinn says the Penguins are known as a first-class NHL franchise.
McGinn says he may not be known for his offensive game, but that’s because offense was not asked of him when he played for Carolina.
The six-foot, 187-pound McGinn last Wednesday signed a four-year free agent contract that carries a $2.75 million cap hit for the Penguins.
