The appearance at the Center Township Supervisors Meeting is the Ambulance Company’s effort to get more funding from municipalities, which would be matched by White Township up to $50,000. Senior Operations Manager Mike Dunn said the main message they wanted to send is that the cost of readiness is high.
Center Township supervisors said after the presentation that they would be glad to discuss the issue further with Citizens.
In other business, the supervisors approved two resolutions concerning Community Development Block Grant funding. One resolution approved the project scope and three-year plan that included the community wide priorities list. The project identified was the Coy Junction project, but Supervisors Chairman Dave Smyers said that people in the area need to fill out and mail in the income surveys.
Smyers added they need 51% of the citizens to respond to the survey. The information in those surveys will be kept confidential.
