State police are investigating a theft that happened at a home in Conemaugh Township last month. Police say that the theft happened between 9 PM on June 15th and 5:52 AM on the 16th. Someone was able to enter the Tunnelton road home of a 49-year-old Clarksburg woman and steal a Glock 42 pistol, ammunition, five prescription drugs, jewelry, clothes and food. On top of the estimated $2395 worth of goods that were stolen, police say that the burglars also damaged a window in the home, costing another $180. If you have any information on the incident, call police at 724-357-1960.
State police are continuing to investigate identity thefts, including one that reportedly happened on June 20th. Police say that on that day, a Blairsville man reported that someone stole his identity information and used it to open a Chase bank account. That account has since been locked and closed, and neither the victim or the bank lost any money in the incident. The victim was advised to contact a credit bureau to lock his confidential information.
