Pittsburgh Steeler Troy Polamalu announced on social media on Friday that he has contracted Covid-19.
The announcement comes a week before the Hall of Fame ceremonies, where he is scheduled to be inducted along with Coach Bill Cowher and Donnie Shell in the 2020 class, and Alan Faneca and scout Bill Nunn in the 2021 class. Polamalu said he is symptom-free and is working with health officials to see if he will be permitted to travel for the festivities.
