The Steelers are trying to rebuild their offensive line at training camp, but they were down to their fourth and fifth options at center this weekend after only a couple of days of work.
Third-round draft pick Kendrick Green was given Saturday off for personal reasons. Veterans JC Hassenauer and BJ Finney left practice Saturday with injuries. Guard Kevin Dotson and tackle Chuks Okorafor sat out Saturday and Sunday with injuries and tackle Zach Banner is still limited as he returns from knee surgery.
Finney and Green returned to practice yesterday but Hassenauer sat out, with his leg heavily taped. Cornerback Antoine Brooks Jr. was helped off the field with what coach Mike Tomlin said was a minor injury.
The team has today off and will move practices from the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex to Heinz Field when practice resumes tomorrow. Fans will be allowed in to watch practice starting on Wednesday.
