PRESEASON TO INCLUDE SIX HOME, SIX AWAY FOR PENS

The Penguins have announced their preseason schedule, which starts in late September.

Pittsburgh will play six preseason games; three at home, and three on the road, beginning with a home game September 27^th against Columbus.  On October 1^st, the Penguins will visit Buffalo, then return for two home games, October 3^rd against Detroit and the 5^th against Buffalo.  They will close the slate with games at Columbus and Detroit on October 7^th and 9^th.

The NHL is poised for its players to compete next year in the Winter Olympics.  The league is going to announce its schedule for the upcoming season this week, and it reportedly has a break from February 5^th to the 27^th so pros can compete in Beijing.  The NHL All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas is expected to be the last event before the Olympic break midway through the season.  The finalized schedule will be out Thursday.
