UPDATE: The schedule for today’s games has changed once again as some pop-up cells of rain are expected this afternoon. Also, due to the unavailability of umpires and an extra field that the tournament was hoping to use is not in good condition for use.
Today’s games will be between Connellsville and Marion Center on Field 1 at 11:00 AM, and Monroeville vs. Punxsutawney at 2:00 PM. The rest of the schedule has been moved up one day, so today’s regular schedule will move to Sunday, Sunday’s games were moved to Monday, and Monday’s games will be played on Tuesday.
WHAT WE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED
The Youth Legion Western Regional had four games scheduled yesterday, but mother nature wiped out two of those games. In the early games, Conneaut beat Millcreek Sons of Legion 11-7 and Penn Trafford beat Oil City 11-2. The evening games between Marion Center and Connellsville and host city Punxsutawney and Monroeville were postponed due to the weather.
Two fields will be used to make up the games, and Marion Center’s schedule will be packed. At 10:00 AM, Marion Center will play Millcreek, and that will be followed by the make-up game against Connellsville at 1:00 PM. Punxsy will play Monroeville at 10 AM and then Penn Trafford at 7 PM. Other games on the schedule include Monroeville vs. Oil City at 1:00 and the regularly scheduled game between Conneaut and Connellsville.
