Two people were sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court on Friday.
Izaiah Toney of Johnstown and Treazure Toney of Pittsburgh were both before Indiana County Judge Michael Clark on Friday for their sentencing hearings. Treazure was ordered to serve six months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail for each count of resisting arrest and simple assault. Judge Clark ordered those sentences to run concurrently. A one year probation sentence was also imposed on Treazure for a charge of disorderly conduct, while no further punishment was handed down for a harassment charge. Meanwhile, Izaiah was committed to Indiana County Jail for 11 months to a day less than two years and two years of probation for carrying a firearm without a license.
The two were sentenced in connection with an incident last September when a car they were in was pulled over in East Wheatfield Township. Treazure threw a cup of liquid at one of the officers and tried to run away, but was caught a half-mile away. During the chase, Izaiah placed a few handguns in the weeds nearby, but that was caught by police on their dashboard camera.
