Indiana Borough Police report multiple alcohol-related crimes dating back to Monday.
Reports say that officers were dispatched to the 1300-block of Oakland Ave. shortly before 3 o’clock Monday afternoon to reports of a suspicious male in the grass. Police identified the man as 47-year-old Roger Gray of Indiana, and they say he was intoxicated and unable to stand on his own.
He was taken into custody and cited for public drunkenness.
Officers were dispatched again to the 1300-block of Oakland Ave. around 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday. This call was for reports of a male acting erratically, and when police arrived, they found Gray was the suspect involved in the incident.
They say Gray was in a highly-intoxicated state and he was placed under arrest for public drunkenness. He was taken to Indiana County Jail on temporary detainment.
On Wednesday, officers were called out to a motor vehicle accident along the 200-block of Water St. in Indiana Borough around 4 p.m., and they found a car driving by 26-year-old Anthony Smith of Indiana had hit a parked vehicle.
Following an investigation, police discovered that Smith was under the influence of alcohol to a degree where he was unsafe to drive, and placed him under arrest for DUI-related charges.
A criminal complaint was filed through Magisterial Judge Guy Haberl.
