The Penguins announced yesterday that they have re-signed forward Teddy Blueger to a two-year contract that will run through the 2022-23 season.
The 26-year-old forward played in 43 games with Pittsburgh last season and tied a career-high with 22 points – seven goals and 15 assists. He also had four shorthanded goals since coming into the NHL in 2019.
General Manager Rox Hextall called Blueger a “versatile, two-way center, as well as a fixture on the penalty kill,” in a statement, and adds that he is a valuable player to the organization.
Blueger will earn an average salary of $2.2 million with this new deal.
