To celebrate the recent renewal of the naming rights of S&T Bank Arena at the White Township Recreation Complex, the arena and the bank today unveiled a new promotional tool that may look familiar to hockey fans.

The two entities unveiled a refurbished 1979 classic Zamboni, given a new paint job to promote the arena, to be used as a showpiece in parades and other events in the area. Township Parks and Recreation Director Ryan Shaffer said that the actual vehicle does have some history with the complex.
The conversion, which included turning it from an ice resurfacing device to a vehicle that can host six passengers, was done in-house by members of the rec department’s maintenance staff. When not used in parades and events, it will be on display at the S&T Bank Arena.
