The drooping Pirates were hammered by Milwaukee again on Saturday.

The Pirates acquired a first baseman from St. Louis for cash considerations. 28-year-old John Nogowski started the season with the Cardinals but was only 1-for-18 before injuring his hand. Since returning, he’s hit .197 for Triple-A Memphis.
Retired former Pirate second baseman Neil Walker threw out the first pitch at Saturday’s game, and then announced that he will announce the Bucs’ choice with the first overall selection at the MLB Draft on July 11th. Walker will also join the Pirates’ broadcast team for nine games starting in August.
