This Sunday marks the return of the Star Spangled Celebration at Mack Park.
The festival returns after many of the in-person events at Mack Park last year were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The fireworks show still went off with people watching at various areas in the Indiana Community.
This will be the sixth year for the Independence Day Celebration held by the YMCA of Indiana County, the J.S. Mack Foundation and Graystone Presbyterian Church. Along with a vendor show, a kids zone and a wine and beer tasting area that will run for most of the day, there will be an apple pie contest from noon to 3. Music will be provided during the day in the field next to the old ice skating rink. The music starts at 1:00 with Told Ya So, followed by Wild Card at 3:00 and Andrew Mack at 5:00. Country band 7 Mile Run will perform starting at 7:30, and in between their sets will be a veterans ceremony at 8:30. The day will end with a fireworks display at 9:30.
Your Hometown Radio Station will broadcast from the Star Spangled Celebration starting at 1:00 on our affiliates, U-92.5 FM and Cat Country 106.3 FM
