- People 18 and older are allowed to purchase, handle and use fireworks in Pennsylvania, provided they are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
- Consumer Fireworks may be fired on public or private property, provided that those setting them off have the property owners permission
- Fireworks must be fired 150 feet away from an occupied structure.
- Fireworks cannot be thrown from a vehicle or building, nor can they be thrown at a vehicle, building or another person.
Police also remind people about the borough’s ordinances concerning open containers, noise, open burning and public urination. Their best advice is to be respectful of your neighbors.
