The Altoona Curve won a rain-shortened game against Hartford yesterday by a final score of 2-1.
Altoona lefty Trey McGough struck out nine and retired 11 of the final 14 batters to seal the win. Altoona’s runs came from an Arden Pabst RBI single in the top of the second inning that tied the game, and Mason Martin hit an RBI double that scored birthday boy Jonah Davis. After five innings were completed, ground crews brought out the tarp, and the umpires later called the game due to the rain.
Altoona and Hartford will play a double-header today.
