A man from Home who was charged with theft from a motor vehicle was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court.
Court documents say 21-year-old Tyler Gelles will serve one year of probation, along with paying costs and fines, for an incident on July 1, 2020. On that day, Gelles broke into a parked car in the parking lot of a Sheetz in Clymer, and took nearly $100 worth of items. Those items included a cell phone and a make-up purse, both belonging to the car’s owner.
Also sentenced in Indiana County Court yesterday was 33-year-old Matthew Brilhart of Northern Cambria and 22-year-old Christopher Lloyd of Ebensburg. Brilhart was sentenced to serve one to six months in a state correctional facility for two counts of simple assault, and one to three months for one count of indirect criminal contempt. Both of his sentences will run concurrently.
Lloyd was sentenced to serve one year probation, along with paying costs and fines, for furnishing authorities information without knowledge, graded as a level-three misdemeanor.
