Triple A is expecting it to be busy on roadways this Independence Day Weekend.
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to ease, Triple-A Mid-Atlantic is saying that it is expecting 47 million Americans and more than two million Pennsylvanians will hit the road this weekend. The group says that the gas price average across Pennsylvania this morning is $3.20 a gallon, which is up two cents from last week and five cents from last month.
In Indiana County, the average is $3.24 a gallon. Comparing that with other averages in the region, Indiana County ties with Armstrong and Westmoreland Counties for the same average. The lowest average in the region is Clearfield County at $3.20 a gallon. Cambria and Jefferson Counties tie for the highest regional average at $3.25 a gallon.
The lowest average across the state was in Carbon County on the eastern side of the state at $3.14 a gallon, with Pike County having the highest average at $3.28 a gallon.
Gas prices in Indiana, Homer City, Blairsville and Clymer areas are at $3.25 a gallon this morning according to Gasbuddy.com
