Court records indicate that Johnnie Ray Weaver, the Altoona man involved in a police pursuit that reached more than 130 miles per hour on Route 22 Tuesday in Cambria and Indiana counties, is still at large.
The 46-year-old Weaver was pulled over for traffic violations in Cambria Township but sped away when a rolled marijuana blunt was found in his possession. Police broke off their pursuit in Indiana County for public safety reasons.
Weaver is facing a felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police, along with misdemeanor recklessly endangering, possession of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia, and 15 summary traffic offenses.
The case will be adjudicated in Cambria County.
