On Sunday, the Homer City Ministerium will hold their second Family Day at Floodway Park.
It will start at 10:30 with an outdoor inter-faith worship service, and will move on to lunch at noon with pre-packed lunches available, and live music throughout the day. Kids will also have the opportunity to take part in games and activities in tents that will be open throughout the concerts.
In 2019, the Ministerium’s event was a great success, but the event was cancelled like a lot of others last year due to Covid-19. Reverend Jonathan Ditter of the Homer City Ministerium said that in the early part of 2021, they had to decide whether to hold the event this year, or delay it another year and wait for 2022. Ditter said that they felt a need in the community for an event like this.
The events are free and open to the public.
