Many plea and sentencing hearings are set for Indiana County Court today and while many of them are related to charges of driving under the influence, there are some standout cases, including one where a man is charged with multiple counts of child abuse-related crimes.
62-year-old Richard R. Larock of New Florence will go before President Judge Thomas Bianco today to enter pleas to 12 counts each of aggravated and indecent assault of someone under 13 years of age and corruption of minors. Charges of statutory sexual assault were disposed of at lower court. The investigation goes back to January 1st of 2014.
Also due in court today is Meghan Marie Abbott. The 28-year-old woman from Fruita, Colorado will be sentenced today for a charge of endangering the welfare of children from January 20th of 2020.
