Preliminary hearings are set for Indiana County’s District Courts today, including one for a man charged with multiple child-porn related crimes.
37-year-old Patrick J. Brennan of Saltsburg was charged with 24 counts each of disseminating photos or videos of child sex acts and possession of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communications facility for an investigation that dates back to February 13th of this year. He was freed after $1,500 cash bond was posted. The hearing will be before District Judge Susanne Steffee this morning at 9:45.
Also scheduled this morning is a preliminary hearing for Michael Daniel Goss, who is charged with fleeing and eluding police along with seven summary traffic-related offenses for an incident on May 25th. Police said on that day, they tried to pull Goss over on Route 119 in Burrell Township around 3:23 in the afternoon after they found out he was driving on a suspended license. When he started to speed away, police gave chase, eventually turning off on Route 56. Troopers had terminated the chase for safety reasons, but heard that Goss crashed his vehicle on 56 near Elizabeth Way, and was fleeing on foot. Police were later able to take him into custody.
Goss’ hearing is set for 8:30 this morning in front of District Judge Robert Bell Sr. at 8:30.
