The Blairsville-Saltsburg School Board will hold a special meeting tonight at which they are expected to name a new principal for the Blairsville Elementary School. The candidate has not yet been publicly identified.
Also on the agenda tonight are the hiring of a number of coaches and other positions, including the naming of Geoffrey Dixon as assistant athletic director and game manager. The board was expected to name assistants to the new varsity coaches at its last meeting, but postponed those decisions.
Among those up for approval tonight are the head coaches and assistants for Junior High football and cheerleading and assistants for varsity football, golf, cheerleading, wrestling and volleyball.
Scott Stuchal is up for approval as the wrestling coach, and the board is also expected to name a data liaison, Student Council co-advisors, and volunteer football coaches.
