Gas prices in Indiana County continue to go up on average, while the statewide average held steady.
Triple-A reports that Indiana County’s average cost of a gallon of gas is $3.25 a gallon as of this morning, which is up a penny from last week. It is also the highest average in the region. Clearfield County currently has the lowest average at $3.20 a gallon. Armstrong County has a $3.23 a gallon average. Jefferson, Westmoreland and Cambria Counties all have a $3.24 a gallon average.
As far as Indiana County goes, gas prices in Indiana, Homer City, Blairsville and Clymer are all at $3.25 a gallon.
The statewide average held steady at $3.17 a gallon from last week. Last month, gas prices were a penny lower, and last year at this time, gas prices were on average $2.35 a gallon in Pennsylvania. This was due to decreased demand due to travel restrictions from Covid-19 in place.
The national average is now at $3.07 a gallon, which is a decrease of one cent from last week and three cents last month. Last year, the nationwide average was at $2.12 a gallon.
