Former IUP linebacker Damon Lloyd has found a home in the NFL after signing with the Los Angeles Chargers yesterday.
Lloyd announced the signing in a tweet shortly before 5 p.m. Lloyd recently played in the Spring League with the Blues, who finished third in the South standings with a record 3-2.
The former 2nd team AP All-American and former PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year played 48 total games with IUP from 2016 to 2019, where he recorded 169 solo tackles, 4 sacks and 3 interceptions.
Lloyd set a record for tackles in a single season from 2017 to 2019, racking up more than 110 total tackles in all three seasons.
No details on Lloyd’s contract terms are available yet.
