The Coronavirus Pandemic has hit a lot of organizations hard, including those who provide food to the needy. One of the local food banks is holding a food drive today to help replenish their shelves.
The Indiana County Community Action Program will hold their food drive today during the Farmer’s Market in the downtown Indiana S&T Bank Parking Lot. ICCAP food bank director Aimee Kemp talked about how much the need has expanded during the pandemic.
S&T Bank representative Elaine Welker said that the format of the food drive is going to be a drive-through format, but they are also allowing people to donate fresh fruits and vegetables they buy from the farmer’s market.
Financial donations will also be accepted today during the Farmer’s Market, which will be held from 9:00 AM to Noon today.
