On Wednesday, the White Township Supervisors approved a final draft of the agreement for their contribution of $100,000 to Citizens’ Ambulance.
The agreement will put in place an annual donation of $100,000 to Citizens’ every year, with the term lasting a calendar year, and 30 days notice must be given if either side wants to end the agreement. Back in May, the agreement was tabled as there was a difference of opinion concerning the exit clause, with Citizens’ initially wanting a hard deadline of November 1st in place instead of the 30 day notice. Township Manager Milt Lady said that he was happy that the agreement was finally signed off by the supervisors.
The agreement will be sent back to Citizens’ for further signatures.
In other business, Lady announced that the former truck scales in front of the White Township building have been removed and the area was paved over. The supervisors also approved a contract for seal coating in the township for this year, with the low bid going to Quaker Sales Corporation out of Johnstown at $49,129.65 for double seal coat.
