On Tuesday night, Indiana Borough Council discussed the installation of some removable bollards that will be installed Wednesday in the area of IRMC Park.
The bollards will be installed at the entrance of IRMC Park and will require 7th Street between Philadelphia Street and Nixon Avenue to be closed both Wednesday and Thursday. Borough Manager C. Michael Foote said that the bollards are a great alternative to what has been used to close off IRMC Park during events.
The bollards cost around $5000. They will be paid for using a gift from an anonymous donor of $2000, with liquid fuels money paying the rest.
In other business, the council approved the purchase of a 2021 Ford Explorer from TriStar Motors via CoStar for two annual payments on $13,992.18.
