A late game comeback fell short for the Altoona Curve as they lost to the Richmond Flying Squirrels 5-3 in Richmond.
Oneil Cruz got his seventh multi-hit game of the season and extended his hitting streak to nine games, but the Curve wasted opportunities by stranding five base runners over the final two innings, including a bases loaded opportunity at the end of the game.
The series between Altoona and Richmond continues tonight.
