A coveted music festival is slated to return to Downtown Indiana today.
The Delaney Chevrolet Westsylvania Jazz & Blues Festival will take place along Philadelphia St., after the COVID-19 pandemic prevented it from taking place last year. This marks one of the first in-person festivals to take place in Indiana County since the start of the pandemic.
The festival will be held along Philadelphia St. instead of its normal location at IRMC Park, and David Ferguson, dean of IUP’s College of Fine Arts, said the reason for the change was to ensure that safety guidelines could be followed.
The festival will start at 11 a.m. this morning and will go until later tonight with three “after hours” locations at the Hilton-Garden Inn, the Artists Hand Gallery and Josephine’s. The full lineup of performers can be found at westsylvaniajazzandblues.org.
