PA Crimestoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of those involved in a series of thefts that includes the recent thefts from motor vehicles in White Township last Saturday.
Pennsylvania State Police say that as a result of ongoing investigation in Bedford, Cambria and Westmoreland counties, troopers have learned that the Chevy Sonic that was involved in the thefts in the Brookwood Estates area was actually stolen from a location in Ferndale Borough in Cambria County. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Bedford County. After that, the thieves stole a Ford Taurus SHO, and that was later found abandoned with a flat tire in Johnstown. Troopers are now looking for a red 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray with black racing stripes and black wheels that was stolen during daylight hours in the Seward area of Westmoreland County.
People can submit tips by calling 1-800-4-PA-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous. In the meantime, troopers urge everyone to continue to lock their cars and homes and keep valuables out of sight.
