The Blairsville-Saltsburg School Board will hold a special virtual meeting tonight to discuss the future name of the district, the mascot and the new colors.
On the proposed agenda published on the district website, the meeting will focus on the new name of the district, which was not revealed, naming sports teams in the reorganized district the Panthers, and having the school’s colors royal blue and black.
The board will also look at approving the hiring of Kelsey Ferguson as the new district director of athletics and student activities for next year, and the board will also look to post and/or advertise all supplemental positions for the next school year.
The meeting starts at 7:30 PM and will be streamed on the district’s YouTube page.
