STEELERS SCHEDULE IS TOUGHEST IN THE NFL

The NFL has released its schedule for the upcoming season, and it has the Steelers in five primetime games.

They will play nine home games and eight road games in the first-ever 17-game NFL regular season.  The Steelers open at Buffalo on Sunday, September 12^th, then play the Raiders in their home opener the following Sunday, following up the next week at home against the Bengals.  The first three games are scheduled for 1:00.

The Steelers will travel to Green Bay for a 4:25 start on October 3^rd, then play two at home, against Denver  at 1:00 on the 10^th and a Sunday night game against Seattle.

Week 7 is a bye week, with the Steelers returning to action on Halloween for a 1:00 game at Cleveland.  The November schedule has them playing at home against the Bears on Monday, November 8^th, welcoming the Lions to Heinz Field the following Sunday, then traveling to the Chargers temporary home in Carson, California the following Sunday night.  They finish the month at Cincinnati the following Sunday.

The December schedule has the first meeting with the Ravens at home on December 5^th, at Minnesota the following Thursday night, a Sunday afternoon game on December 19^th at home against the Titans, then on the road at Kansas City on Sunday, December 26^th; that’s followed by a January 3^rd Monday night game at home against Cleveland, and finally, at Baltimore the following Sunday.

Based on last year’s winning percentages of their opponents, the Steelers have the toughest schedule in the NFL.

The Steelers will open the preseason with the Hall of Fame game against the Cowboys on August 5^th, then play the Eagles in Philadelphia on the following Thursday, at home against the Lions on August 21^st, and then a trip to Carolina on the 27^th.
