Jury selection is scheduled today for an East Pittsburgh man accused of raping an unconscious woman at IUP in October of 2017.
22-year-old Donte Robinson-Vearnon is facing charges of rape of an unconscious victim, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault without consent and aggravated indecent assault of an unconscious victim in connection with an incident on October 3rd of 2017.
Robinson-Vearnon was arrested June 26th, 2019 at an apartment building on Grandview Avenue in East Pittsburgh. Allegheny County Sheriff’s Deputies forced their way into the apartment and found him hiding in a bedroom. He had been wanted in Allegheny County on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court to answer to drug charges that originated in McKeesport.
His trial is expected to start tomorrow at 8:30 AM before Senior Judge William Martin.
