CURVE BREAKS THREE GAME LOSING STREAK WITH WIN OVER BOWIE ON FRIDAY

The Altoona Curve picked up their first win of the season beating the Bowie Baysox 5-4 in 10 innings.

In the 10^th, the Curve had their placed runner on second base when Rodolfo Castro lead off the inning with a line drive through the middle that drove in Mason Martin for the win.  Altoona had a 2-0 lead that included a Castro homer in the 4^th, but blew that lead in the 6^th on a two-run homer by Chris Hudgins.  Bowie would take a 4-2 lead in the 7^th, but Altoona climbed back with a 7^th inning homer by Jonah Davis and an RBI single in the 9^th by Oneill Cruz.

Max Kranick started for the curve and went 5 and 2/3rds innings in his double-A debut, but did not get a decision as he gave up two runs on six hits, striking out 1.  The win went to Yerry De Los Santos, as he pitched in the top of the 10^th to hold the tie in place.

The Curve and the Baysox play again this afternoon.
