The Altoona Curve picked up their first win of the season beating the Bowie Baysox 5-4 in 10 innings.
In the 10th, the Curve had their placed runner on second base when Rodolfo Castro lead off the inning with a line drive through the middle that drove in Mason Martin for the win. Altoona had a 2-0 lead that included a Castro homer in the 4th, but blew that lead in the 6th on a two-run homer by Chris Hudgins. Bowie would take a 4-2 lead in the 7th, but Altoona climbed back with a 7th inning homer by Jonah Davis and an RBI single in the 9th by Oneill Cruz.
Max Kranick started for the curve and went 5 and 2/3rds innings in his double-A debut, but did not get a decision as he gave up two runs on six hits, striking out 1. The win went to Yerry De Los Santos, as he pitched in the top of the 10th to hold the tie in place.
