The Pirates beat the Twins, 6-2, yesterday and will try to take the series today in Minnesota.
Will Crowe, who was acquired from the Nationals in the Josh Bell trade in the offseason, makes his first major league start for the Bucs in his second-ever MLB appearance.
Crowe appeared in one game for the Pirates this season, on April 3rd, and allowed one run in two-thirds of an inning. He was optioned to the alternate training site after the game.
The Pirate will have to make a roster move in order to call up Crowe to make today’s start.
