Last night, the United School Board approved extending the contract of Superintendent Barbara Parkins for another six months.
The contract was originally set to expire on December 13th of this year, but the board had approved an addendum to her contract during the February 2020 board meeting that will allow her contract to be extended to June 30th of 2022. The extension will have Parkins’ contract expire on the final day of the district’s 2021-2022 fiscal year.
In other business, the board approved changes to the district’s health and safety policy to bring it in line with the updated CDC guidelines concerning social distancing in classrooms, and accepted with regret the resignation of Clay Skedel as Supervisor of Maintenance after he served the district for 18 years.
