HIGH SCHOOL: INDIANA, UNITED PICK UP BASEBALL WINS

Indiana 10, Highlands 5

Indiana racked up 12 hits in a WPIAL win over Highlands.  Austin Homer, Gavin Homer, and Lincoln Trusal each had two hits. Ben Ryan cracked a home run and drove in two, and the Homer brothers each drove in two as well.  Indiana scored four runs in the 3^rd, two more in the 4^th, then three in the 5^th and one in the 6^th.  Lucas Connell pitched five innings and gave up four runs, three earned, for the win, with Branden Yanity finishing up the final two innings.

United 7, Penns Manor 1

United scored three runs in the 2^nd inning, one in the 4^th, and three to cap the game in the 7^th and defeat Penns Manor in a Heritage Conference game.  The Lions collected six hits, all singles, but Comets pitchers walked six batters.  Ben Tomb pitched six and-two-thirds innings, giving up three singles, striking out 17, and walking three.  Bradley Felix came on to get the final out.
